Authors must be registered and logged in to submit to AAP Perspectives. Once you are registered as an author, make sure that your piece meets the requirements outlined in the submission checklist above, then hit "Start Submission" to begin the submission process.
The following guidelines are applicable after you have initially submitted your proposal and have received an invitation to submit a full-length paper. If and when your proposal is accepted, submitted papers should be formatted according to the APA Style Guide.

Final submissions should be 5,000 words or less, which amounts to roughly 10 typeset pages.
References should follow the APA style guide.
Initial submissions should be a 500-word proposal for your thought piece, uploaded as a Microsoft Word document.
Authors accepted for publication must agree to the terms of the Author Publishing Agreement before the piece can be published.
